About us

A local recycler that does the work itself

Resource Recovery Services is an owner-operated recycling business based in Arundel on the Gold Coast. We started in 2022 with one goal: to recycle electrical cable properly instead of letting it end up in landfill.

Our own facility strips and granulates cable, separating the copper from the plastic insulation. The copper goes on to be made into new electrical products like cable and bus bars. The insulation gets a second life in products like playground matting and flooring.

As our trade customers asked us to take more of what they pull out on the job, we've expanded into electric motors, inverters, aluminium, lead acid batteries and air conditioners. Each material is sorted and sent to the right processor so it's recycled, not dumped.

When you call, you talk to the owner. When we pick up, the owner weighs it, pays you and sends the receipt.

Our commitment

Less in landfill, more back in use

Every kilo of cable, motor or battery we collect is one less in landfill. We separate materials properly, send them to be made into new products, and make it easy and worthwhile for local businesses to do the same.
